🌻☀️ How We Got Started
Have you ever noticed how curious and resourceful young people can be? Their boundless enthusiasm and desire to explore remind us that there’s always more to learn, no matter how much we think we know. Whether it’s mastering the art of nurturing indoor plants for better air quality, strengthening connections with loved ones, improving community safety, or engaging in civic action, the thirst for growth and discovery never stops.
Public Health Media was founded in early 2021, driven by a growing concern from young people who struggled to access reliable health education. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools cut back on essential health education, exposing a critical gap. We believe every young person in America deserves comprehensive, evidence-based health education, which is why we set out to make this knowledge freely accessible online.
Our curiosity didn’t stop at individual health. We quickly recognized that personal well-being is deeply connected to our relationships, communities, and broader health systems. A healthier environment—clean, safe spaces where we live, work, and play—ultimately leads to better overall health. That’s why we’re committed to investing in public health as a means of improving quality of life for everyone.
We may not be able to solve all of the world’s challenges, but we believe that by providing solid public health education at the personal, relational, community, and systemic levels, we can empower individuals and inspire collective change. It might sound idealistic, but we’re convinced that each individual has the power to make a meaningful impact. The next generation will inherit both the progress and the challenges of today, and we’re dedicated to equipping them to be the change-makers of tomorrow.
